The work was supposed to start in May and end in June. It started in July and ended on December 14th! Highlights included no kitchen sink, forgetting to keep the door closed for the pets, and lunching in the kitchen with Bob, Willie and Max. More highlights included having Bob decide to finish the day before Thanksgiving, using the nail gun at 5 pm with Will and Max hovering around the kitchen while we tried to cook our food. The end result is gorgeous and we have all gotten into the swing of cooking again! Here Sam made chocolate chip scones........delicious.
Will worked hard to make the Lewisboro Travel Soccer team this year. One of the most coveted items is the personalized soccer jersey and the chance to choose his own number. One of the joys of being on the team was being with his best buddy all the time, since travel meant comitting to 3 days a week all fall!
Soccer in Westchester is a big deal. Julia started the season a little less than happy (see left picture.) She was the smallest and youngest one, and one of the least enthusiastic about the whole thing. Something clicked for her in the last 2 games and she ended up being a scoring machine by the last game and leading the pack and happy about it. (see right picture and a picture of her stride down below.)
Fun for all to watch her. I hope my pep-talk words: "small but mighty" had something to do with it.
The 5 of us and Nema took a day trip to NYC, starting out at the Guggenheim as a group, and then the "girls" went to the Nutcracker. The "boys" met us after at the fountain and we all went to Brooklyn together to cousin Jonathan's cookie party.
Cole's looks keep changing. I think he looks like a wolf pup, but the comments from others range from shepherd, corgi, eskimo, pomeranian and lab. Cleo still loves the boys more than the rest of us, as you can see here.
