We spent our last week of summer in Sharon, NH. It was a great week as usual. We got over the hump of swimming in the pond due to the pretty high temperature all week. It took Bruce showing the boys how to play with a capsizing canoe to break the ice. After that there was no stopping them. We also spent a weekend with the extended Nichols family. Sam and Will slept with most of them in the larger South house and led an independent life for 2 full days without their mother hovering over their bedtime, bathing habits, etc....They played many rounds of monopoly and birdopoly with cousin Jonathan and stayed up as late as they wanted. The only downside to the week was that I hurt my lower back (welcome to my 40s!) and have still not recovered fully.
