I was feeling brave, and we made a big trip into NYC to see Radio City Music Hall and wander around Rockefeller Center. Usually I drive in-wanting to keep it simple. Since Julia has never been on the train (shocking, really) I decided it was time! We left the house at 10 am and returned by 8:30 pm. I was absolutely exhausted by the time we got home, never so happy to get into pajamas! However the day was really fun-and the kids held up better than I did. We ate at John's Pizza, raced to the show, enjoyed the Rockettes (Julia took a very expensive nap for the second half of the show) then saw the skaters, the tree, some windows and had fun at the new Lego shop, which had miniatures of NY scenes throughout the store. We ducked into St. Patrick's Cathedral, and then the best part was meeting Bruce for a fun and festive dinner at the Heartland Brewery. Next year: the Nutcracker!
