The October winter storm took everyone by surprise. We scrambled about looking for snow gear, the kids dying to play outside like usual with the first snow. During the first night we lost power for 5 days. We stuck it out until Halloween day and then took refuge in Winchester at Bruce's sister's house. Cole loved their dog Rocky-we think it reminded him of the Golden Retriever (also named Rocky) he was fostered with before coming to our home. While Bruce went to work in Boston, the kids and I enjoyed the trails in the woods near Steph's house, went to the Science museum and caught up with the folks in Winchester.
